Horsewoman

This piece is of a woman riding her horse in Rich County, UT. The original was a “Commission Painting” I did for friend that was ultimately a gift for his friends wife.

Horses are one of the smartest of all animals on earth and I sought to get every detail thereof in correct perspective and proportion, including the brand, saddle and rider.

Rural Utah has some of the most beautiful landscapes which is accurately depicted in this setting.

I love horses and mountain landscapes scenes. I added various wild flowers and light to the piece as well as a hawk flying overhead in order to add interest and beauty.

There are few experiences in this life more peaceful than a horse ride in the mountains.
