RED CANYON HONEYCOMBS

Red Canyon is located along Scenic Byway 12, nine miles outside of Bryce Canyon. Because Red Canyon is part of Dixie National Forest, rather than a national park or monument, there is no fee to enter the canyon.

I was inspired to paint this piece when I hiked Red Canyon a number of years ago. This red rock cliff formation and the surrounding topography is spectacular to behold.

I’ve added a bald eagle setting in the tree in the foreground, colorful clouds overhead, and some dazzling light to the red rocks and foreground desiring to draw attention to the natural splendor of this masterpiece.

This product includes archival quality protective varnish, and a dust cover and hanging hardware if framed.

Originals are painted using high quality artist grade acrylic paint on double sided, tempered, masonite (hard board) which is very durable and, unlike canvas, will never stretch or flex and crack the paint.
